before your massage

Your first visit is an introduction. It is a chance for us to get to know each other, to see how your body responds to massage therapy, and to plan on how to proceed.

On your first visit, I will ask you to complete an intake form that includes a basic health history. There are some conditions for which massage is not in your best interest, therefore it is important to inform your therapist of even minor problems. Also, be aware that there are also some health conditions that require your therapist to consult with your primary healthcare provider for your own wellness and safety. This will never be done without your consent. All information provided is kept strictly confidential.

Depending on the type of massage you are receiving, you may or may not need to undress. For a full-body massage, clients are asked to undress to their level of comfort. Some undress completely, while others leave underwear on. In a separate room, you are given privacy to dress and undress.
