The amazing workings and design of the body have always fascinated me. I have studied and practiced nursing since 1974. Over the years I have had the opportunity to practice my profession in many different settings. After many life-changing events, I opted to return to school to study massage in 2007.

As a nurse I learned how the body can and should work, and I have worked with so many people when this was not the case. I don’t believe that taking drugs to fix pain “symptoms” does anything for improving the problem itself. As a massage therapist, I learned that a body in pain can be restored back to its optimum level and that many health problems can be prevented and/or improved through increased knowledge and practice to improve ourselves — body, mind, and spirit.

My goal is to make a difference in someone’s body and in their quality of life. I wish to work as a member of a team to help facilitate people in their search for healthier lifestyles and also to assist in the recovery process when injury, chronic pain, muscle stiffness, stress, etc., are present. This team involves other healthcare providers when necessary (such as doctors, chiropractors, nutritionists, etc.) and most importantly, you, the client.  I believe strongly in client education because any successful healthcare partnership involves YOU.

The name, Body In-Sync, honors the idea that when our body, mind, and spirit are working well together, or synchronized, we can lead healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives!
